Nonlinear Data Transfer
Netpump gains its edge over TCP/IP, FASP and UDP through a fundamentally different approach to data transmission.
The Problem with TCP/IP
TCP/IP uses linear data transfer through a single port, making it vulnerable to packet loss. When packets are received with an error, a re-transmission request is sent — and transfer time is cut in half until an error-free packet arrives. The cost of packet loss compounds: with each successive error, transfer speed continues to halve.
Netpump's Solution
Netpump uses nonlinear data transfer through multiple ports. Optimised data segmentation means multiple ports are used instead of just one — greatly reducing the risk of access congestion, enabling accelerated delivery, and accessing the latent capacity of available bandwidth. Better resilience to packet loss makes Netpump faster than its peers.
